Introduction
Scholarship for overseas students who want to study or conduct research in Japan in undertake undergraduate, master and doctoral degree at Japanese universities or graduate school is available now. It was provided by Rotary Clubs in Japan through the Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Foundation.
Eligibility
- Be able to submit his/her letter of acceptance (an admission approval or a pre-arrival admission approval) under the schedule below:
- Be in the process of applying for admission
- Have already chosen the university or graduate school s/he will apply for
- For April 2016 enrollment: Submit the letter of acceptance by the end of January 2016.
- For fall 2016 enrollment: Submit the letter of acceptance by the end of June 2016.
Course: all courses offered by the Japanese University or Graduate School in Japan.
Number of awards: not specified -- several grants are awarded every year.
Scholarship benefits
Only for the first year of the scholarship, a supplemental of 400,000 yen is provided upon arrival in Japan.
1. Undergraduates: 100,000 yen per month
2. Master's students: 140,000 yen per month
3. Doctoral students: 140,000 yen per month
4. Research students (undergraduate, master's and doctoral research students): 100,000 yen per month
